(AHN) Suspects Must Say They Want To Remain Silent to Get Right, Supreme Court Says

The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that criminal suspects? words can be used to prosecute them if they fail to say they want to invoke their right to remain silent. The ruling represents a big change from the famous 1966 Miranda v. Arizona decision that said defendants? statements can incriminate them only if police prove they waived their right to remain silent. – (AHN)
