Packing 102 mph winds, Category 2 Hurricane Earl on Friday raced up the nation’s East Coast past the Carolinas and headed for New Jersey at 18 mph. Sometime Friday night or Saturday, forecasters expect Hurricane Earl to speed up and move at about 35 mph. – (AHN)
