In a new report, the Yankee Group is taking a close look at the effects 4G will have in 2011. Expecting 4G to lay the foundation for a "fundamental reshaping of the telecom industry and commerce as a whole," the big message for 2011 is to get ready: Corporations and consumers will see 4G beginning to make inroads next year, but the really big changes will arrive in 2012. Still, therell be plenty of shifts and adjustments in 2011, with prepared companies& such as Sprint, AT&T, Google and Apple& expected to benefit, while others& including Clearwire, Nokia, and, again, even Apple and AT&T& feel the pinch of being unprepared or otherwise losing out to rivals.
