Dropbox has announced that they’ve released version 1.0 of their file synching software. The big news for Mac users is that Dropbox now supports resource forks and other extended attributes, meaning important data in files (like fonts) won’t be stripped out as they’re sent to the Internet. Another plus for Mac users is that their code is now Cocoa-only. Along with other back-of-house bug fixes, Dropbox now claims their software uses 50% less memory and Selective Synch for computers with smaller hard drives, allowing the user to choose which folders will sync to a particular device.
