Former RIM employee writes of company’s disbelief, denial over iPhone

RIM was incredulous, in denial, and in a panic when the iPhone was first announced in 2007, according to a former RIM employee. The Canadian company was convinced that it was impossible for a device to have such a large touchscreen and still get a usable battery life.
