Plantronics InstantMeeting promises Android and BlackBerry smartphone users one-click connections to conference calls hosted through popular conferencing services such as Cisco WebEx or Microsoft LiveMeeting. Unfortunately, the app sometimes fails to gather the necessary information needed to make the connection& like the meeting ID& forcing manual user intervention. Those often using conference providers known to work with InstantMeeting may enjoy the app, but others attending meetings hosted by a variety of conference providers will find InstantMeeting a redundant waste of time. InstantMeeting is available from Blackberry App World and the Android Market for $2.99. I’d recommend trying the free trial version first, as it can connect a maximum of 20 conference calls, to see if it works for you.
