It was widely speculated that Apple will announce major improvements to the Maps app in iOS 8 such as improved points-of-interest data, public transit directions in select cities, augmented reality and indoor mapping at last week’s WWDC Keynote event, so we were quite puzzled when the company did not announce any of these much-needed improvements.
