A Massachusetts apartment owner and landlord faces a penalty of $83,575 for charges of violating federal lead paint disclosure rules at his residential complex in Springfield.
?These violations potentially put tenants at risk of exposure to lead paint hazards,? Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said in a statement.
?The 122 Chestnut, L.L.C., failed to provide tenants with lead hazard information pamphlets and include lead warning statements, disclosure and lists of records or reports pertaining to lead-based paint hazards in leases,? EPA found out.
