Free apps update for December 17th, 2010

This week on the App Store there are a ton more games, but that’s not all. I also found a number of great utilities: more location tracking, a translator from the future and a great news app. And, as always, a decent number of these are limited time freebies. Grab ‘em while they’re free.

Word Lens – Definitely the coolest app that you’ll see today.  This app is somewhere between augmented and replaced reality.  It’ll take the video feed from your iPhone’s camera and replace any Spanish text with the English translation sans internet connection.  It just does it on the fly.  I just can’t wait for them to add more languages.  It’s like the beginning of the future…
