With about $12 for shipping, that’s $14 under May’s mention and the lowest total price we’ve seen for a refurbished unit. (It’s also $44 under the best deal we could find for a new, current-generation model.) A 90-day warranty applies, although it’s not clear who backs it.
Update: As a reader discovered, apply coupon code “whosyourdaddy” for free shipping. That’s $26 under May’s mention, $56 under the cost of a new one, and the lowest we’ve seen for this refurb.
Alternatively, the Apple Store offers a factory-refurbished version in Black or Silver, with a 1-year Apple warranty (the same as new iPods), for $189 with free shipping. Sales tax is added where applicable. Items are removed from Apple’s site when sold out.
