(AHN) Statins May Lower Prostate Cancer Recurrance

Statins, a class of drug prescribed to lower cholesterol, may also help lower the risk of prostate cancer recurring. Researchers with several universities said that men who had prostate cancer and who are taking statins to lower cholesterol, are 30 percent less likely to see their cancer return after surgery compared to those not taking the drugs.
